That was a very satisfying battle write up! I like the inclusion of the pic of the rolls for this battle and look forward to your thoughts on streamlining it in the future.
I like the progress they are making! If they can keep whittling down the numbers without taking casualties they will have a lot less than 70 swords to deal with!
I like how sound tactics are coming into play! Vergus is showing some talent as a commander!
Lord Vergus! I'm sure only good things will come of this. Those pictures of the battle were intense, that must have been so much dice rolling! It's hard when you have a warband, because on the one hand, embracing the brutalities of the system and rolling for everyone feels more engaging, but abstracting it makes your life a lot easier.
Appreciate it! That battle took forever to roll, so I'm looking at the Black Ziggurat supplement for mass combat. The problem I'm in that grey area between multiple units and lots of named NPCs.
I'm going to try and modify the mass combat rules a bit if it makes sense, but play out mini-fights within that if it comes to a siege or something. Vergus' troops are inferior to the Yellow Wyrm soldiers and they do have a mage of some sort.
Truthfully, I have a full list of potential battle plans written down (as if it were a war council), and I don't know yet (I haven't rolled the dice) the details of the fort, the level/powers of the mystic, etc. Sort of like a real conflict where no one really knows for sure what they'll face.
I love it! When I accidently gave my character a warband in Ironsworn, I would have a focused fight between my main character and the leader, with a few named NPC's either in the background or moving around with the flow. At the end of the main fight, I would Oracle the result of the group combat, with a modifier for how well it went for the PC, but I found this dissatisfying. I'm keen to see what you settle on!

Thank you! I had to show that, it took forever. Hahaha. I'll post the how when I decide what my system for the later big battles will be
All those rolls show your dedication hahah. Great write up on the battle.
Hahaha. No doubt. Took forever. Thank you!

A bit of destruction in detail, ambushes, tricks, and other things might make this easier. I don't know what I'm facing until it happens.
The tactics are going to make or break this campaign.
Great write up. Things are definitely heating up.
For sure, it's building to a climax of sorts. Hopefully, Vergus can pull this off.

Right on. I’ll be putting some thought into it.
Hail Lord Vergus!
Right on! Thank you!
