A quick and descriptive way to measure threat, I will be using these in my campaign starting immediately haha. I could see adding advantage/disadvantage to certain situations as needed, if it's more likely that there would be less, or more, danger.
Thanks! When I created these, I wanted them vague and open to interpretation. I don't use them for every combat, but sometimes it's nice to add a bit of drama to an otherwise hum-drum situation.
I find them especially good when my imagination has taken a break for the day. The complete book will include numerous examples and suggestions for use. A good way to add a bit more tension to the combat scenario.
I like using them for my solo games quite a bit. Sometimes I feel inspired to create, and other times I want to add max chaos and tension into the situation. Obviously, these can also be used outside of combat.
The thing that I noticed with most groups of oracles is that their used primarily for driving the story rather than for introducing dramatic tension into the fights.
Will be purchasing - Great work here!! This logic will apply perfectly to my family’s rules-lite civil war wargaming scenarios. We have been trying to add more RPG elements, this is perfect!
Let us know when you get these up on Itch. I’ll be first in line to purchase! 😊 #oraclelove
Will do. Really appreciate it! I'm a big fan of oracles as well.

Totally! Fights can be stories too
Agreed. I enjoy a good detailed cinematic fight scene. Even if it ends in the death of my characters. Hahaha
